Okura Shukokan Special Exhibition "Idemitsu Museum of Art Collection Tea Ware Masterpiece Exhibition"
Since its establishment in 1917 by Kihachiro Okura as Japan's first private art museum, the Okura Shukokan has been working to collect, preserve, and exhibit works of Oriental and Japan art, and has held exhibitions on various themes.
And as a special exhibition in 2025, we will hold an exhibition on tea ceremony.
The art of tea ceremony is an essential field in Japan art that plays a part in it, and the tools used in it span all fields such as painting, calligraphy, ceramics, metalwork, lacquer work, and wood and bamboo work.
This exhibition provides an opportunity to appreciate Japan art across the spectrum through a wide variety of approximately 70 works that make up tea utensils from among the many masterpieces in the Idemitsu Museum of Art's collection.

Hours: 10:00~17:00 (Admission until 16:30)
Closed: Every Monday (or the following Tuesday if Monday is a holiday)
Admission fee: Adults 1,500 yen, University and high school students 1,000 yen, junior high school students and younger free
*Repeat customers during the same period will receive a 500 yen discount (only for those who pay the general public, university and high school students)
*Groups of 20 or more people will receive a 500 yen discount
*Those who present a disability certificate or A-bomb survivor certificate and one companion are free of charge.
*If you come to the museum in a kimono (kimono), you will receive a 300 yen discount
*Museum passport 5,500 yen
*Set viewing ticket with Okura Tokyo (lunch set 6,000 yen, tea and confectionery set 3,100 yen)
